My building is located at 16 East Hatcher Road. When I wanted to get a Certificate of Occupany for my residential building to commercial office, Jerry Kadansky interfaced with the City of Phoenix building safety department, met with the appropriate building officials, scheduled and corrected all discrepancies determined by the City promptly. He called for a re-inspection and within less than two (2) weeks, we obtained a Certificate of Occupancy so I could lease my building as an office building.

Jerry’s work has been invaluable in assisting businesses within our community obtain Certificates of Occupancy (CofO). The CofO is a requirement for property owners in order to obtain City Funds to upgrade their building and to move forward in a storefront type improvement program now offered as part of our ongoing efforts to revitalize and support the businesses within our community.
Jerry’s understanding of the Development Services Department process earned through his over 30 years of experience as a licensed General Contractor, his tenacious attitude and dedication to making a difference in the community have been instrumental in helping to ensure the success of this program. Through his efforts businesses now are moving toward becoming more successful. Jerry is dedicated to his clients and community and is a true joy to work with. Thanks Jerry for all that you do!

We purchased the Eye Opener Restaurant at 524 West Hatcher in
Phoenix
, in 2004. It had been a restaurant for over 40 years. We found out about a City of
Phoenix
program that would help us update and upgrade the exterior of this very old building. In going through the process, we were surprised to find out that the building did not have a Certificate of Occupancy, without which we were not eligible for the City program.
We had no idea of what to do first. We were busy running our restaurant and did not have the time, energy or knowledge. We were introduced to Jerry Kadansky, commercial general contractor. He enlisted an architect to do the required site and floor plan of the existing building, compiled the necessary paperwork and submitted it to City Plan Review. Within 18 working days, we had a Certificate of Occupancy. We now can move forward in updating, upgrading our building and contributing to the beautification of the Hatcher Road business community.
